IN BED WITH THE OPPOSITION- A book review & giveaway Orig. 12/5/12

Hola Hola Hola My Beautifuls!  Today BB is doing something a little different; I'm reviewing a book.  Not only a book, but an EBook.  Imaginate!  Babushka was a bit behind the times when it came to books. Quee??  JU SO FONII!!! Ok si, and other things too, but we're talking about libros now.  Continuing.

What prompted me to accept this offer?  Bueno, it fit so many pluses for BB.  Primeramente, first, there was the free download, and you know Babushka loves her swag. Secondly, segundo, it was about a Latina, sexy, savy and loving the wrong man.  Snap!  Scenes of my youth and former marriages danced Salsa before my eyes.  Thirdly, it's been three weeks without My Sweetie and I was missing some loving.

The synopsis:

What happens when a good girl decides to play dirty?

Armed with a sassy haircut, a sharp wit, and a personal list of rules for all life's exigencies,Grace Santiago is a fiercely loyal senate staffer who has everything under control.  At least until famous political pundit Ethan Castle walks back into her life.  Grace hasn't forgotten their disastrous affair in law school, but she can't resist his bad boy charm.

When Grace learns that Ethan has been hired as a political gunslinger for the other side, her loyalties-and her heart-are torn in two.  Though their sexual chemistry can't be denied, they find themselves locked in political combat.  Ethan believes that all is fair in love and war,but he won't throw the election-not even to win Grace's heart.  So what can a good girl like Grace do,but learn to play dirty?

Two candidates. One election.  May the best man-or woman-win!

I haven't read a Romance novel in the longest, so I figured I'd read the first chapters to get the feel of it.  First chapters??  ME SO FONII!!!  After the first hour I decided to plug in my computadora because I knew I was going to read the whole thing in one sitting.  Oh Si.  Stephanie Draven was able to interest me in things I really didn't care for- ebooks and politics.  Not only did she score in my book on those counts, but she made Grace's being Latina a "fact of life" not a big deal. I liked that.  Grace happened to be Latina, and though her voluptuous curves were mentioned and admired, ( I appreciated that) it wasn't a pivotal or all encompassing point of the book, just an element of the richness of Grace.  And speaking of "voluptuous curves", I'm always fascinated by how romance novels can be just that, romance without being porn.  Suffice to say BB took out her fan a couple of times, but it was never in the realm of bad taste- just good imagination.  And good memory.

; )

I know y'all are wanting to read this too, and I've got an ebook to send to you!
Just comment below the one big romance you've had or with who/m you'd wish to have-

Author Bio- Stephanie Draven

Stephanie has always been a storyteller. In elementary school she channeled Scheherazade, weaving a series of stories to charm children into sitting with her each day at the lunch table.  When she was a little older, Stephanie scared all the girls at her sleepovers with ghost stories.

She should have known she was born to hold an audience in her thrall, but Stephanie resisted her writerly urgges and graduated from college with a B.A. in government.  Then she went to law school, where she learned to tell the tallest tales of all!

Now with a bio like that you know you're gonna love it!!

So hurry up and enter- I can't wait to read your comments!!
