As an abuela, it's part of my job to teach history to The Grands- and not just our particular familias history. Being BB, The Arts y la musica are areas of special interest and of course as Grandmother one must go GRAND, and The Beatles definitely fit that bill. When asked who were the Beatles, El Dr. replied with, "Aren't they the band from the 20's?" Feeling old, pero glad to be not that old, Babushka gave him the correct years.  Felizmente no explanation was needed for the younger two.

As El Dr. explained, the Beat Bugs series on Netflix is based on the songs of The Beatles.

Along with the Beat Bugs series the merchandise is cute, colorful, loveable and makes the learning of the songs so much easier. Pa' que vean, La Princesa only saw the DVD once, and gracias to the quality, even with Autism, she was entertained and captured. BB's not being Cuban here, see for yourselves. Y aqui if you gotta hear it and ver mas detalles.

Didn't La Princesa do a great job? As parte of the Beat Bugs Dreamteam BB received the cositas shown, pero you can get the Beat Bugs DVD, Willie muneco, and book at Target.

There will be time later to introduce The Grands to The Beatles. Right now they're enjoying themselves, learning new music, and being reminded la verdad.

Groove on with Genevieve Goings- @ChooChooGirl BB's Riding Your Train!!

Back in the days when BB was raising The Trio, we had cute and catchy songs for children, but nowhere-nohow as cool, hip and fun as those by Genevieve Goings!!  Genevieve, aka  @ChooChooGirl is the female conductor (right there she gets multi cool points) on the Disney show "Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve".  Here's the press release info:

debut on Playhouse Disney as the hip singing train conductor on the educational

Besides her musical styles, sense of color and coolness, Babushka appreciates how she "keeps it real."  Did you notice that in this video she shows how as a teenager she didn't wear that much makeup?  Quee?  JU SO FONII!!!  Ok si, BB may not be subtle, but she definitely does notice it! Continuing. Genevieve sings about real needs- like her next song from "Do you know?", the inspired, intoxicating rad raggae style song- "Gotta Do My Business". Oh yes, it's what you're thinking- a song about potty training. Babushka's mind movie maker could just see the Grands grooving to this, and the mental pic on the line "gonna have to drop it"...  you KNOW BB's getting that album.

The album is due for release on June 3, but the above single, "My telephone number is" ya esta on iTunes. Y para those who like Babushka just can't wait, there's a free iTunes App "Sing with Genevieve" with some of her cute, catchy and oh so cool musica. Si- BB has fallen in love with this young lady.  Come on now gente, anyone who can have Babushka belting out "Gonna have to drop it" and wishing she was potty training someone, is nothing short of genius.  You can join BB on Genevieve's social media platforms,
