#HilariousHoliday - Oh Target, JU SO FONII !!!

BB was contacted by Target to join their #HilariousHoliday campaign and sent a gift card to help put me in a happy, laughing mood.  The opinions expressed and story shared are/is true and all Babushka. 



HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!

The holidays have oficially started and the decorations are all over the place- including on us!! Y'all know how Babushka adores Target (I'll share the first post I wrote about them later) because of their attention to detail and good taste, but did you know they had a sense of humor too?? Oh yes they do! They contacted BB to do a post on their "Ugly Sweaters".  Bueno, I guess they figured BB was an authority on the subject since I proudly have my own "Ugly Sweater"- though I prefer to think of it as festive.  Continuing.

Accompanied by My Little One, we went to our local Target and started looking for those "Ugly Sweaters". Being females we of course started in that department. And being females, in Target, we of course found some lovely things.

We found holiday sparkly- black blingy blouses

 and even sweaters with sparkly 

We found these... but they were fonii, not ugly, and not sweaters! 

Not finding the "Ugly Sweaters" here we went to the children's department.

Quee?? Ok si, you're right. Nothing in that size could ever be ugly, especially these cuties!

We then went to the Men's Department, and though we didn't see "Ugly Sweaters" we did see some very close primo hermanos- first cousins.

No luck on those "Ugly Sweaters", but then it hit us.  We're talking Target here, no tacky just chic.  But still, BB knew there had to be a reason for the assignment, they wouldn't have sent me out on a wild "Ugly Sweater" Chase... so to the net Babushka went.  Saben what I found??  Target doesn't do tacky, but Target does do humor "in chic".  In "chic"/cheek. Got it? Si, gotta love those Groaners , and gotta love Target.

Christmas in Miami- The Store

Maybe because it's an unseasonably 74 degrees Up North in The South, or maybe because this will be my first Christmas without any of my trio or family, but I'm thinking about Christmas in Miami.  And when I think of that, I think of and remember,

Of course Babushka was intrigued by the name and had to see what this store had inside.  

As my grandmother La Tata would say, it had maravillas!  

Por supuesto it had the obligatory flamingos and other tropical and seaside ornaments.

But then it had-

Did you notice the one in the middle?  If BB had been able to, he would have "left the building". 

Now you KNOW the coffee ornaments were soooo BB.

Quickly I averted my eyes to stop any further temptations 

 

and discovered snow in Miami!!

It's the coolest thing!  Y si, the pun was intentional.

A white flaky substance (reminded me of instant mashed potatoes) that when added to water becomes cold to the touch and very well could pass for snow. 

 Maravillas I tell you, maravillas.

Now for you traditionalists out there, you have not been forgotten.

And speaking of tradition, I plan to start my own when I go back to Miami.  This store will personalize the ornaments you buy- maravilla!

Every major event will be commemorated with an ornament, starting with,

If you've been following Babushka for awhile now you know she believes in serendipity and signs.

  Bueno, considering my trio of angels will now all be in Miami, I am coffee crazed and I'm also of Chinese descent. I had to smile when I saw this.

Oh Si.  I will be back to celebrate Christmas in Miami.

P.S.  Part of the charm of the shop were the attendants   Unfortunately BB lost the names of the two lovely ladies and hope they contact me to give them publicly the appreciation they deserve.
