Understanding BB- Day 2 of SMCSF 30 day challenge

Hola Hola Hola My Beautifuls!  I know many of you are here because of the SMCSF challenge and are wondering just what is this crazy-old-Cuban-lady Babushka all about.  Queee?? JU SO FONII!!! Ok si, maybe I should re title this as "Deciphering BB" because sometimes even BB doesn't understand what BB's all about.

Today I will school you on how to read my posts and bring you up to speed on my family, some of my sayings, views on life, and whatever else pops into Babushka's head. Viste? There's the first clue in deciphering BB; I'm soooo random- or so it would seem.  If you like roller coasters you'll catch on in no time.

I write in my native tongue of Spanglish and I'm sure by now you've realized how colorful BB is. Well, so are my posts! They're usually words that have links attached and some of them refer to prior posts.  Go ahead, try clicking on the neon blue link, it'll take you to my very first post, Introductions. Que fun right?

 Now, my family:

My Trio- MAC, My Little One, My Eldest & La Gallina Vieja Sonia Guerra

Babushka and  La Tata
she's either 90 or 92

My silly fiance, Sweetie

BB's Sayings

BB2U = Babushka Besos To You
You ain't just whistlin' La Guantanamera = You ain't just whistlin' Dixie
ESO!!! = Exactly! or YES! or That's the way! or EXACTAMUNDO!
A BAILAR SE HA DICHO!! = LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!

And the main phrase/slogan/tagline of Babushka is also my view of life.

If someone doesn't see YOUR brilliance, you look at them, smile, and say-
JU SO FONII!!!

And that My Beautifuls is the Reader's Digest rendition of Babushka and her Baile.
I hope you come back real soon because BB loves a full dance card.

    1. As I heard the tale, None of the girls (for some reason it never affected the boys) had the correct age because they grew up in a finca and far from where they had to file birth certificates. Since there were 12 of them, imaginate! Since there were 12 of them, the father would go once every couple of years and do a bunch at a time. Apparently he didn't keep that accurate a record of birthdates. Of course there's another story that said the office of records burned down- again, the damage only happened to the records of the female members of the family... ; )

Glad I was able to brighten your day. Mission accomplished!!
      BB2U Thanks for the baile

  10. Thank you for the introduction to you and your family! Love the grands. This was the perfect first post for me to read. You may even improve my high school Spanish -- as that was only 100 years or so ago and I've forgotten most of it. :) Just stopping by from the GRAND Social Linky Party. Hope you get a chance to do the same!

  11. This makes me smile. I know no other language (except Pig Latin) so your Spanglish warms my heart. It's obvious in ANY language how much you love those grandbabies, as well as your entire family. Thank you for sharing in the GRAND Social!
