Mima's Mini Miami - A Recipe in Memory while Making Memories

You know BB's a firm believer of Twofers y no trabajar muy duro, so when the nice gente of PAM asked me to enter a contest using their product, Babushka incorporated the visit to Miami and Babushka's family history there by coming up with a fast,frugal y fun recipe juntandolo to'.

My mother's mother, Mima, loved Miami.  Her last years were spent there, enjoying her girls and the food. Oh the food! She was especially fond of sweets and the Cuban staples of Pasta de Guayaba con queso crema were always on hand. (viste, it's hereditary- why fight it)  In her memoria BB dedicates this post and this recipe.

Mima's Mini Miami-

Guava Paste

Cream Cheese

Maria Cookies

Coconut Flakes

Primeramente, pa' que no se te pega, el PAM.

1. El PAM

2. Queso Crema/Cream Cheese

3. Maria Cookie

4. Guava Marmelade

5. Another Maria Cookie

6. More Cream Cheese & into 300degrees for 15 mins

Y that's to' Beautifuls!!  Ahora, eso si, this was the first time BB made this, so when The Grands came over we tweaked it a bit.  Quee?? Not share this con los nietos??  JU SO FONII!!! This receta is so easy, fun, y rapido that it's a natural for a family food project.

Here we discovered it's better to start with a Maria Cookie abajo and then a capa of cream cheese. Also, whipped cream cheese would melt a little better. We added coconut flakes to represent snow and icecream is the perfect addition to complete Mima's Mini Miami.  Ahora, eso si, for the niños we used vanilla, pero Babushka couldn't resist helado de cafe for a complete dulce dish from Miami.
