This is the fourth post of Babushka's Florida KidCare series and hopefully by now the advantages of the plan have been explained and you're ready to sign up.  Bueno, the buena gente of el plan want you to know of the cuatro programas under the Florida KidCare umbrella. Once you have applied, they will check to see which program(s) your child(ren) may be eligible for.

• Medicaid- Birth through 18 years  Administered by the Dept. Of Children and Families
• MediKids- Ages 1 through 4 years Administered by the Agency for Health Care Administration AHCA
• Florida Healthy Kids- Ages 5 through 18 years   for those not covered by Medicaid
• Children's Medical Services Managed Care Plan- Birth through 18 years for children with special healthcare needs

There's an old children's prayer in Spanish, "Cuatro pilares tiene mi cama" which Babushka thinks of when she sees the above graphic. Florida KidCare truly was the pillar of BB's children's health care; The Trio had all their medical needs met with the plan. Tambien, as in the prayer, there were angeles ready and giving care when Babushka would call with questions. Quee?? Not call? JU SO FONII!!!
