It’s Febrero and lots of y’all are thinking about Valentine’s, Dia de los Enamorados. Aunque Babushka’s been married 3 times and romanced plenty, write on that aspect? JU SO FONII!! Today we speak on something different.  

BB takes daily life and being grateful for it very seriously. Those of you who follow Babushka on social media know that at noon is posted #GSOG #GigaSecondOfGratitude #GospelOfGracias. This is where a quick shout out to life is shared. It could be for anything, everything. This is what is wished for you this year Beautifuls-to be grateful for life and all its' adventures. Hoy BB shares her first adventure of the year.

Babushka started 2019 off with a hosted visit to SeaWorld Orlando , on Three Kings Day. Reyes, celebrated by a major Florida theme park. Think about this Beautifuls. Via the US Census, Latinos in the summer of 2018 made up 25% of the states population- yet there had been no dedicated dia to us. Gracias Seaworld. BB went to the inaugural Reyes Celebration last year and wanted to see if they would repeat it. Not only was it repeated, but it was bigger. No te puedo decir how happy we were to see more of our culture shared. The foods, the musica, the beautiful sound of our language being spoken, sin pena and often. Families sharing with their little ones the story of the 3 Kings and their memories of childhood celebrations. The best part of the grand day was in the final show. The “warm up” was a latino singer/musician who spoke to the audience in Spanish and sang Christmas songs of their youth. Sin exageration, a BB se le aguaron los ojos, couldn’t help getting emotional when a giant auditorium was filled with love of their Navidades Nativos, all joining in song, memorias y longing. Being able to relive the joy and reason of the season, to share with family our ways, our culture, in GRANDE. Because we all know recognition by a major presence vale mucho in the world’s eyes, we thank you Seaworld Orlando for the festivities.

Appreciation is love. And there is so much to be appreciative of. Make sure to acknowledge whatever brings you joy. Share that acknowledgement and joy wherever you can. The memory will bring you more joy, and we could all use some of that.

Starting the New Year with Old Traditions. Reyes Magos at #SeaWorldOrlando

Babushka and her bunch were invited by Seaworld to attend this event, no other compensation or payment was given. Except for the lifelong joyous memories. All opinions are BB's, Sweetie's, and Cristyl's Crew.

HolaHolaHola Beautifuls!

This is Babushka's first post of 2018, and she can't think of a more fitting way to start the year.  If you've been following BB you know how she loves her familia, and her culture. So pass up an invitacion de SeaWorld for their Three Kings Celebration? JU SO FONII!! Talk about a Tremendo Twofer!What a perfecto opportunity to share with them a Latino tradition while also showing them the maravillas de Seaworld.

If you live in Florida, you know these are "freezing" temperatures, and with lluvia? OMAIGGAAA!! Luckily the bunch had the necessary gear and we headed out to the celebracion. The media check in was from 12-1 so a las 6:30 am salimos de Crawfordville.  Babushka not fully awake, pero definitivamente fully excited. Y como no?? Look what we had in store for us!

BUENISIMO!! 

And it truly was Beautifuls.

Enjoy the coquito, the pinchos y mas, Oh Si!! Quee? Una celebracion hispano without food?? Imposible. And it's not just feasts for the tummy,but your eyes will be filled too. Seaworld is always beautiful, but now even more so gracias a special attractions and decorations for the epoca.

Babushka and her Bunch are already planning for next year's celebration! This is the first year Seaworld is offering the event, and esperamos and hope it is the first of many. Porsea, hurry and attend, it's going on until January 6.

Keeping My Cool with Seaworld

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!!

As you well know, Babushka does not do heat.  Not too convenient considering I live in Florida, pero I do have ways to combat that heat aversion.  Queee?? JU SO FONII!!!  Si, I do leave the house once in a while- if it's worth it, and making a grandbaby smile is sooooo worth it. But it does have to be BB style. 

I needed a place that was cool in every sense of the word- and I found it in ANTARCTICA.

Cool huh?? 

Ok si, it's in Orlando and not real ice, but this was the week of escaping the real and facing fears. 

 El Dr. was up to the challenge- as a matter of fact, it was his idea!

He decided to meet his fear of roller coasters, heights, and fast rides. 

Ejemplo: In the Empire of the Penguin ride you could choose a mild or "wild" ride. 

He chose the "wild".

Stock pictures yes, but very true to experience.

Luckily for us the day was overcast, not many people were there, so we saw almost everything.  Suggestion, bring comfortable shoes and time to see it all.  As I said, it was late and had been raining so many had left- otherwise, I'd suggest at least 2 days to really appreciate all that's available. Continuing.

El Dr. bravely wanted to overcome his fears, but he started off slowly- at  Shamu's Happy Harbor.

 My grandsons brave, not bobo.

Unfortunately the same can not be said of BB-
those little cups are not made for Cuban Cabooses.

Ok si, another stock picture, pero in my own defense, I didn't take a pic because I was shocked that he truly wanted to ride this, but ride we did.
He taught Babushka a lot that day, but he learned a couple of things too.

Not only did he learn a lot about himself and the creatures of the sea,
but he learned about his Babushka.

Thankfully, he says she's kept her Cool.
