HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!!!

The craziness of Carnaval has started to pick up steam in Miami. Mira el schedule.

carnaval miami,calle ocho,cooking contest,domino tournament,golf classic,kiwanis,little havana,

Wow and Woah. Quite a list verdad?

That's a lotta action going on, and as BB mentioned in the last post, it's organized by a staff of 4 and countless volunteers of the Little Havana Kiwanis. So there's the charity Cha Cha Cha, a lot of bailando for a cause they believe in. ALL these events are organized by the Little Havana Kiwanis to benefit the underpriviledged of the community. Si, these are all fun, but they're fundraisers too.

Babushka's very honored and proud to be one of the Carnaval Miami VIP Bloggers.

Si, very honored to help this great organization and their cause and hope you join us in some of the activities. If you can't come in person, please help us spread the wonderful events they have by tweeting #CarnavalMiami2015 and if you see #CarnavalMiaVIP you know it's one of the bloggers chosen for the varied categories, so a RT would be mucho appreciated. In another post Babushka will detail all the other wonderful reps of Carnaval Miami. For now, know that BB's tema is Cultura/Culture. Quee? JU SO FONII!!! No, they're not saying BB's cultured, just that she knows about the Culture of Calle Ocho, Little Havana.

Por supuesto, a big part of that is food, so you KNOW Babushka's not missing this one!

"Emceed by nationally acclaimed personality Chef Pepin, the cooking contest is judged by catering managers and local television personalities instructed to select the winning recipes based on the originality, presentation and flavor of the dish.

The contest presents cash awards to top three choices within the categories of General Public, High School and Vocational Education students."

Hope to see you at the event or Tweety,

where Babushka will be sharing the delicias the judges are tasting.

Disclaimer: This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and Pampers.

All opinions are 100% Babushka's and in loving memory of my mom who tried to support soccer in Miami when soccer wasn't cool.

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!!!

My Heritage.” and you’ll have a chance to win a year of FREE Pampers diapers and wipes!"

That's the sponsors rhyme and reason, now here's Babushka's.

More than 30 years ago, BB remembers how her mother was such a soccer fan,(si, I know, I'm using the American name ) that when South Florida had a team she would take us to all the games. Hoping to show solidarity and support for a sport that she knew wasn't really on the US radar, she would scream louder than anyone in the bleachers. Unfortunately the time for soccer wasn't then, but her love of soccer did pass on to the latest generation.

And Rinquincaya takes his soccer seriously!!

The love of the game is in la sangre- it's in the blood.

Bueno, Ok Si. That's in his blood too!

You know what's also in our blood? TREMENDA MESCLA!!!

Here La Princesa has confiscated "Baby Brother's" toys, while El Dr. happily holds up the onesie of his much asked for Little Brother.
These are the prizes of the giveaway. Sans the book on Pele; that one's for Babushka.

Cuban,Chinese,Dominican, Panamanian,Spanish, African, French-
so the one team we all are rooting for:

PicaPica supporting the Red,White & Blue!!!

My Grandbabies, mis nietos- that's "Mi Equipo, Mi Herencia"

At last soccer/futbol is appreciated at home-
I know Mama's up there still screaming her support and pleasure.

And now you My Beautifuls can join in the fun too!
