About The Movie

Four Kids and It is a charming and whimsical story featuring a star-studded cast including Paula Patton and Matthew Goode with Russell Brand and the voice of Academy Award® winner Michael Caine. Based on iconic children’s author Jaqueline Wilson’s Four Children and It, the story is a modern twist based on E. Nesbit’s 1902 classic Five Children and It, and also stars Teddie Malleson-Allen, Ashley Aufderheide, Billy Jenkins, and Ellie-Mae Siame. The film adaptation is directed by Andy De Emmony and written by Simon Lewis.

On a seaside holiday, four kids from a blended family visit the beach, where they discover a floppy-eared creature that grants their wishes. But there’s a catch: the kids’ adventures in rock-climbing, pop stardom, and flying end promptly at sunset — leaving them in danger each time. Can they learn to control the magic before something dreadful happens?

@Bendon_Inc provided us with a Care Bears small character art case. Their recommended price is $6.99, and we found a case of 12 for $42 on their website.

Pop-Outz

Montco Crafts provided us with a Pop-Outz Care Bears Grab-Bag. It contained 2 coloring boards, 3 markers and 25 stickers. Just Color, Pop & Play! First you color the characters, then you pop them out of the board, and you can play with them. We did not see a Care Bears Pop-Outz to grab online, so you will have to check in stores. Prices we have seen ranged between $5 and $25 depending on the characters.

DVD

@LionsgateAtHome provided us with their Care Bears "Bearied Treasure" DVD. AHOY MATEY! Join the Care Bears for adventures on the high seas and quests for treasures of friendship, fun, and teamwork! Have you ever wondered what life on a deserted island would be like? Bueno, after seeing The Wild Life this week, BB and Cristyl’s Crew started wondering that very pregunta.  Quee?? You haven’t heard about the pelicula yet?  Bueno, here’s the tale and the trailer.

SYNOPSIS

From the over-exuberant parrot Mak to the snack-obsessed tapir Rosie, from the persnickety echidna Epi to the acrobatic pangolin Pango, from the ditzy goat Scrubby to the commonsensical kingfisher Kiki and the always-cool chameleon Carmello, things are larger-than-life on a tropical isle that is pure wild animal paradise.  Then Robinson Crusoe, a marooned human, arrives in the midst of a furious storm, and their lives are forever changed by this bewildering new “creature.”  No matter their differences, castaway human and quirky animals embark on an hilarious new adventure, building the island’s first tree-house and surviving together.  But when two conniving members of the animal kingdom — the savage cats Mal & May – pounce into a battle for control of the island, Crusoe and his animal posse must uncover the true power of friendship against all odds (even savage cats).   

The crew got binoculars, t shirts, coloring kits, and saw the movie. If you have kids you know about "the wild life", especially when you try to get them to all do something, at the same time, with the same enthusiasm... JU SO FONII!!!

#GodsOfEgypt - Movie, Mythology & Make at Home Fun

Today Babushka is sharing un poquito on the latest Gerard Butler pelicula, Gods of Egypt. Quee?? JU SO FONII!!! SI, you do need to know a little bit more about the film than that.  At least the synopsis?

SYNOPSIS

In this spectacular action-adventure, the survival of mankind hangs in the balance as an unexpected mortal hero Bek [Brenton Thwaites] undertakes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. In order to succeed, he must enlist the help of the powerful god Horus [Nikolaj Coster-Waldau] in an unlikely alliance against Set [Gerard Butler], the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. As their breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the spectacular final confrontation.

Fierce and fantastical verdad?  Babushka's always been fascinated by Mythology, all kinds and of every culture. What a treat to be able to introduce a new generation to these tales.  The buena gente de Allied Hispanic were nice enough to send BB some crafts to share with The  Grands and with you Beautifuls. First, being Babushka, abuela al fin, the food.

Que fun verdad? The Grands will enjoy these immensely, and Babushka?

Without further ado- the interview, 

Ya vieron, Norm was so lively and big in stature que BB froze and had to write out the preguntas!!  Quee?? Ok si, the pun was intended, but he is a bear with character, and Babushka found herself telling him JU SO FONII!!! time and time again. Felizmente he was un amor, y aunque he came from a chilly climate, Norm is really a warm fuzzy.  Matter of fact, he offered to send one of you Beautifuls a child Medium shirt to remember him by.
