#TBT What's your word for 2021? @ConexionFlorida January 2021

In January's Edition of Conexion, BB sees the future, the future as she would like. What do you envision for your world in 2021 Beautifuls?

HolaHolaHola Beautifuls!
Feliz New Year!! Babushka feels pretty safe in saying Wow and Woah. That last one, 2020… again, Wow and Woah. Entre pandemic and politics, a most memorable year. Though many of us wouldn’t mind forgetting it.

Did you come to realize what truly mattered to you? Did it help you make a resolution for the future? For today? Porque you know, they say that futuro tomorrow’s are made up of past todays. For her part, BB says hers is more realization than resolution. Matter of fact, “New Years Resolutions” is so ayer. Now it’s about Palabras de Power. One word to describe what your focus is in the coming year. An amiga, Lorraine de VIVA FIFTY  chose “NOW” as hers, a very powerful mindset.

Thinking hard on what BB wants in 2021, she realizes how truly Blessed she is.
Tengo amor. Amor propio, pareja and familia
. Tengo de que comer, siempre.
Tengo donde dormir. Sencillo pero es mio

So does that mean Babushka doesn’t want for more?
JU SO FONII!!

We were sent here to want more, to do more, for ourselves and our fellow Earth dwellers. With the longing for better, we raise expectations, vibrations. The level of living for todos would rise if we all wanted it so. So, aunque BB is grateful and content, her word would be- UPGRADE!!  MORE Amor, more often. She misses her familia and wouldn’t mind seeing them más. Comida, well obviously there has been no shortage, pero a healthier menu wouldn’t be a bad thing. Babushka’s bed is in a trailer, Sweetie’s home for over 20 years. A new concrete casa would be wonderful in 2021! Have Land, Need House. UPGRADE. Si, feeling Blessed, but could be Better.  La esperanza existe y todo es posible.

What’s your word for this nuevo año Beautifuls?

Groovy Grandma- GRANDMA JUICE

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls; BB's back!  Bueno, kinda sorta, ok not really but if you look at the pics on my Feibu page you'll see the tarea I have been dealing with.  Queee? JU SO FONII!!!  Si, in between my online addictions (like Tweety, contests, Instagram, reading fav bloggers,Google+ ) and the new game addictions (CandyCrush, BubbleMania,Bubble Witch) I'll dedicate a sporadic approximate 2 hours a day so I haven't really been pushing the bucket as hard as I maybe should, but that's Babushka.  Apparently Groovy Grandmas have that in common- at least my bestest Groovy Grandma - GRANDMA JUICE and I share that view.

The colored link up above will tell you how she got her blog name (real name is Ronni Keller), but the following post will tell you how she is. She makes no secrets of her preferences and her non preferences, especially the one for cleaning, and graciously said "Hell yeah!" when I asked if I could share her post here. Y si, BB's got a serious Groovy Grandma Girl Crush- read on, you will too.

My How To Guide

Pretend You’re Cleaning And Make It Look Good

If you’re anything like me, you’d rather work on evening out the grooves in your couch while watching
bad Reality TV than do housework. What? It’s good exercise for your butt, right? Grandpa Juice and I usually distribute housework very evenly. <I’m really trying to say this without laughing> Meaning, I scrub the toilets and throw the laundry in and he does… well, the rest of course. That’s even Steven to me. While I’m flattening the couch, my inner Martha Stewart goes *TSK *TSK and my grandmother’s voice is screaming in my head “Will you just LOOK at those dishes at least?” No. No, I won’t.
Just recently, I learned that I didn’t ACTUALLY have to clean the house. I could pretend I’m cleaning as long as I could make it look good! I know!! It was an amazing discovery! I can now do all the napping, lounging and shopping online I want all day and still have Grandpa Juice think I’m just the bestest wifey ever! I have come up with a fail proof plan and I’m going to share it with all of you, my favorite Juicers.
How To Pretend You’re Cleaning And Make It Look Good – by Grandma Juice
Step 1: Consolidate The Laundry – Let’s say for example, you have two baskets of clean laundry waiting to be folded. Simply squish them all into one basket! See? Now you have only one basket left to do.
Step 2: Wet Paper Towel Bathroom Cleaning – Cleaning the bathroom is THE worst job EVER. Since this is actually my job, I can say this with authority. It sucks! Now, it sucks less. First you push all products to one side of the counter. Quickly, run a wet paper towel down the other side. Then repeat the quick swipe with wet paper towel on the toilet. TADA! *Reminder – it doesn’t have to BE clean, it needs to LOOK clean.
Step 3: Consolidate The Dishes - This is probably the easiest step! If your kitchen counter is strewn with nearly every dish, pot, pan and glass in the house. STACK THEM UP! Instant de-clutter of counters. Kitchen much more spiffy.
Step 4: Consolidate The Clutter - Now that you have that one empty laundry basket, take a quick trip through the living room, den and maybe one bedroom. Pick up random toys, a few socks, the empty Cheetos bag you had for lunch, and don’t forget that ugly holey shirt your husband refuses to throw away. Place them in the empty basket. Shove the basket into the back of your closet. SEE!! Clutter free.
Step 5: Swiff Clean The Kitchen Floor – Wearing only a sock, take a good swiff around the kitchen floor collecting as many crumbs and dropped Cheetos from your lunch as you can. Push it under the fridge. Dust the remaining crumbles off your sock and onto the floor and sweep those under the fridge with you hand. You can’t lay back on the couch with crumblies on your sock. It’s bad form.
That concludes Grandma Juice’s lesson for the day on How To Pretend You’re Cleaning And make It Look Good.
*PS: – If you’d like to earn brownie points, you can try this. If any small children are home, have them watch at the window for your spouse to pull up. Quickly run to the kitchen and pretend that you’ve just started cooking dinner. It will make you look even more productive. And, since said spouse hates your cooking, they will likely take over anyways.
**PPS: – Shut up Martha Stewart.
**PPPS: – Sorry Grandma.
Do you have any ‘How To Pretend You’re Cleaning’ tips? I’m all ears!

2013- Living a Life of Ecstasy

Que bello verdad?  How beautifully said, but not so easy to do.

Last year Babushka had a similar "non-resolution".

So how did I fare? Did BB take life in stride, no stress, no aggravation or agitation?

JU SO FONII!!!

I'm a menopausal Cubana so surely you jest!

But Babushka was more conscious on the whole and did remind herself (almost daily) that life should be measured by the journey and the living.  Hopefully this year my self reminders will be less frequent and this blessed outlook will be more natural to BB.  The moments of joy will be more apparent and forthcoming because I'll see everything as a reason for joy.  This is my travel itinerary for 2013, and be it in coach or first class accommodations,  the view and memories are up to me.

What are your plans for this years journey?

Whatever they may be, Babushka wishes you a Bon Voyage.

New Year's- Resolution?

Last week on Facebook, the Tiki Tiki Blog asked what our New Year's Resolution was.  My answer?  To get older.  JU SO FONII !!!  Ok, si, but I sincerely hope this is one resolution I'll be able to keep!

Let me share with you a passage I got from Lord knows where, but I believe whole heartedly in it's message.  To the author I apologize omitting your unknown name, but I embrace and share the wisdom of your words.

As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it, if I choose to read, or play, on the computer, until 4 AM, or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 50, 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love, I will.

I will walk the beach, in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves, with abandon, if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.
They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And, I eventually remember the important things.

Sure, over the years, my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break, when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But, broken hearts are what give us strength, and understanding, and compassion. A heart never broken, is pristine, and sterile, and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it).

Think about it- a resolution I don't have to think about.  Woah- no stress, and that's DEFINITELY what I'm hoping 2012 will be. A stress free year, a stress free life; just doing what comes naturally- no expectations, just excitation.  Come on now, I'm Cuban- gotta have some blood pressure raising somehow!  So I will continue my Spanglish soliloquies, sashaying in heels, blabbing and bailando all the way.

2012-Start the music y dimelo cantando !!!
