It’s May already. This month we in the US celebrate Mother’s Day. A day one typically thinks of Mom, nuestra madre.  As well we should. First, she gave us life. Segundo, she gave us amor.  Thirdly, she gave us the best she knew, the best she had, both materially and spiritually. So si, most definitely Mother’s should be celebrated and thanked. And emulated. To Ourselves.

Beautifuls, let’s realize this. Aunque we will always be our Mama’s bebe, we are, for the most part, adultos. Tiempo to do for ourselves.  This month, let’s surround ourselves with Mothering, Mother Love, Self Love. It truly isn’t hard. Here, let BB give you some ejemplos.

1)  We’ve all seen babies who just smile with all their beings when seing their mom. Let’s start doing that when we first look into the mirror each dia. Amor, Happy to be Alive. 

2) Musica. What brings joy to your soul when you hear it? PLAY IT. 

If it leads to dance, Dance. If it leads to song, Sing. LET IT FILL YOU.

3) Joy of just Being.  Be in the sun, feel it’s warmth and know the Universe is hugging you.

Sit in Silence and know YOU are watched and being loved. 

JUST AS YOU ARE. ALWAYS being wished the Best for you. 

Beautifuls, this is the TRUENESS, TRUTH of Mother Love. And this Babushka wishes for ALL this Dia de Las Madres.

Noviembre- A Month for Gratitude and Hope. Conexion November 2022

Noviembre, it’s officially Fall. Wow and Woah. No se about y’all, pero once the year got its momentum going, there was no stopping it. How about you Beautifuls? Did you get your momentum going? Did you hit your stride, or just went along on the ride?  Creo que we all did a little of both, verdad? We were “in the flow” and at times just “going slow”, pero al final, we’re here, getting ready for another rapidly approaching New Year.

In another month the locura of Crisma, then before you know it we’re singing Auld Lang Syne. Let’s take a moment to reflect, remember and rejoice this year. Give thanks for all that has happened, for it has brought moments of happiness or hardiness, either way, we’re still here. Surely that means we have a reason to be, and for that, feel grateful and blessed.

We are the trees, some samplings, some giant oaks, but we all lose leaves in life. And like nature, we dig down into the ground, roots going deeper. At times we go dormant to strengthen, to rest, to recollect our energies- and our dreams. Si, otro año se termina, this year is almost finished, but that doesn’t mean we are.  Find encouragement in being. Be proud of what you’ve lived and learned this year, for with that, you have the chance to bloom again.

 In January's Edition of Conexion, BB sees the future, the future as she would like. What do you envision for your world in 2021 Beautifuls?

Feliz New Year!! Babushka feels pretty safe in saying Wow and Woah. That last one, 2020… again, Wow and Woah. Entre pandemic and politics, a most memorable year. Though many of us wouldn’t mind forgetting it. 

Did you come to realize what truly mattered to you? Did it help you make a resolution for the future? For today? Porque you know, they say that futuro tomorrow’s are made up of past todays. For her part, BB says hers is more realization than resolution. Matter of fact, “New Years Resolutions” is so ayer. Now it’s about Palabras de Power. One word to describe what your focus is in the coming year. An amiga, Lorraine de VIVA FIFTY  chose “NOW” as hers, a very powerful mindset.

 Thinking hard on what BB wants in 2021, she realizes how truly Blessed she is. 

Tengo amor. Amor propio, pareja and familia

. Tengo de que comer, siempre. 

Tengo donde dormir. Sencillo pero es mio

So does that mean Babushka doesn’t want for more?

We were sent here to want more, to do more, for ourselves and our fellow Earth dwellers. With the longing for better, we raise expectations, vibrations. The level of living for todos would rise if we all wanted it so. So, aunque BB is grateful and content, her word would be- UPGRADE!!  MORE Amor, more often. She misses her familia and wouldn’t mind seeing them más. Comida, well obviously there has been no shortage, pero a healthier menu wouldn’t be a bad thing. Babushka’s bed is in a trailer, Sweetie’s home for over 20 years. A new concrete casa would be wonderful in 2021! Have Land, Need House. UPGRADE. Si, feeling Blessed, but could be Better.  La esperanza existe y todo es posible.

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!!!

If you recall, a little while back BB wrote about the baby shower for Cristyls Corazon ,bueno, Grandbaby #5 has arrived!!!  On October 1, 2014 Babushka's family was blessed once again with another child. Dr. J weighed 8 lbs 7 ozs and was 21 inches long.  BELLO!!!

If you've been following BB on Tweety, Feibu & Instagram you've seen many a pic and video. 

Ahora, does that mean there won't be any more??

EXPLAINING WHY NAMIWALKS IS AN EVENT 

YOUR COMPANY SHOULD SUPPORT 

1. The Issue & Stigma. This Walk is for an issue – Mental Illness – that many think is the 

“last thing to come out of the closet.” The Fear of Stigma is so great and the Walks are 

giving people the opportunity to come together and make public discourse about mental 

illness and admission of mental illness okay. 

2. Inclusivity. The Walk is “inclusive.” We invite other mental health constituencies to 

join us at the Walk with materials about their programs. (Note: We are not sharing 

revenue. This is a NAMI fundraiser.) 

3. Validation and Good Will. The Walk and its participants are part of a movement much 

bigger than themselves. People will be walking in NAMIWalks in cities across the 

country. People are hungry for this validation. Business sponsors of the Walk will be 

in a very visible and positive position with great goodwill to be gained from the 

community. 

4. Benefit to Employers. NAMI programs are grassroots, volunteer driven programs that 

provide education and support to family members and individuals living with mental 

illness. These programs are not provided anywhere else in the mental health system 

and help employees without any cost to employers. Twenty to twenty-five percent of 

employees are touched by mental illness in some meaningful way and can benefit 

from NAMI programs without charge. 

5. Evaluation. NAMI affiliates evaluate the efficacy of their programs and strive to 

maximize measurable results. NAMI Greater Orlando will use our Walk funding to train 

additional teachers so we can expand our Family-to-Family, Basics and Peer-to-Peer 

programs in response to heavy public demand. 

6. Gratitude. We receive emails and phone calls every single day from people who say 

“Thank you so much for doing this!” and then they proceed to tell their stories – often 

for the first time. 

7. Competence and Commitment. We have a very committed and capable Walk 

Steering Committee. They will make sure the entire Walk effort is exemplary.
