Unilever_ViveMejor_Giveaway_Suave_Ponds_Caress

From mis querido ViveMejor- And You wonder why BB loves them so!!!!

Productos known for their moisturizing powers for those of us with Classic Beauty.
(That sounds so much prettier than Vieja verdad?)

"infused with richminerals from the sea, gives hair buoyant body without compromising on moisture."

Caress Daily Silk White Peach & Silky Orange Blossom
"will effectively cleanse skin while providing moisture and a long lasting scent of Orange Blossom."

Beautifuls, this is one I can't get enough of. Primeramente ,it reminds me of mi abuela Mima. It has a scent of rose and encompasses you in abrazos which you feel and smell all day.  BB used to put baby oil after showering to maintain the soft skin feeling, pero with this it truly isn't needed. Now Babushka wants to try the whole Silkening line!

& the Clasico of ALL Clasicos-

BB remembers and knows that the theater lives on Pond's cold cream, it's the staple in all dressing rooms.  For over 100 years this has been much beloved and used, "combining gentle deep cleansing with moisture that stays locked in." Just straightforward and  uncomplicated, it really is a perfecto match for Babushka right?!!

Ahora, knowing how much y'all mean to BB they wouldn't leave you out of the celebration-

a giveaway for the same productos they sent will be given to 3 of my Beautifuls!!

Viste? Didn't exagerar with how wonderful they are!!

The Circle of Life. To Care con Cariño- for Loved Ones & Yourself. #Caregiving #AARP #AARPCUIDAR

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!

The Circle of Life, Circulo de La Vida.
Now before y'all start singing the Disney tune, see what tune you sing despues de ver esto.

Bittersweet verdad? Oh, but what a grateful cancion to be able to sing.

Last month BB was invited to an AARP luncheon promoting their #AARPCuidar program.

"This program provides much needed resources and information to Hispanic/Latino Caregivers and their families across the nation. The goal is to let the Latino community know that AARP has a wealth of information to help them care for their loved ones and themselves. The information is in-language and in-culture."

Signs from the luncheon, and My Capitan Maria de los Angeles sharing some caregiving insights

As you may recall My Beautifuls, when in Miami Babushka stays with her 92 year old grandmother, La Tata. Like many elderly, she has her bouts with being mal geniosa and depression as shared before, so the premise of caregiving to an older loved one wasn't new to BB. However, to find out that AARP has dedicated an entire campaign- in English Y en Español was enlightening, and even a relief.

In the Hispanic culture, families take care of their elderly without question.  Before, there was always a family member who stayed home to be the caregiver, nowadays the percentage of those who can actually do so is getting smaller and smaller.  How does one ask for help for something that has always been a given?  AARP has resources for those giving care, and also for those who will receive it. Quee?? Ok Si, JU SO FONII!!! If we're lucky, si tenemos suerte, we'll ALL have to receive it.

So if you're the one now being the caregiver, there are articles to help you care for your loved one, and articles to help  you care for yourself.  It's very easy to forget that last part. Por favor don't. And if you can pass along the info to the ones who'll probably be taking care of you in the future, you'll be doing everyone a big favor.  At the very least, give them the websites so they know there is help, and this is just a part of The Circle of Life.

NOW you can start singing.

; )

Ageless Derma Face Cream - Too Good for BB!

BB was provided the product for evaluation and review. No other compensation was given, and all opinions are Babushka's - and La Tata's.

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!

Have you ever tried a product that was sooo good, too good, that you had to give it away??  Quee?? JU SO FONII!! Of course it wasn't cafe ni chocolate,Babushka would never part with those. It was face cream.  The Ageless Derma Face Cream to be exact.

From the moment I received the cream I knew this was a product that every little detail had been studied and polished.
The packaging, the container, all of it classy and quality, and Babushka wasted no time in trying it.

En seguida, right away I felt the moisture and then something I had never felt before in any other face cream... Do you see the shine on BB's cara? My face felt smoother, as if a light mask had been placed over it. Babushka has had toning masks and this was similar, but it was not constricting, just smoother.  As I said, the first sensation was moisturizing and BB's all for that.  Matter of fact, for over 20 years moisturizers have been a twice daily part of mi vida.  Gracias to La Tata and her example, this is one of the few beauty must haves of Babushka.

For two weeks BB religiously applied the creme, morning and night and never ceased to marvel of how smooth my face felt.  Apparently it was too smooth. In the busqueda of wrinkles, the "smoothers" ended up drying up my face.  If you can stand it, look again at the foto of Babushka without makeup. You may see dark spots, dark under eye circles, and even a chunky face roll, but no wrinkles.

During that time BB was in Miami staying with La Tata and as soon as the exclamation of my face peeling left the lips, she quickly said, "Pues trai pa' ca!"  So, Babushka did just that. My grandmother, 92 years old, wrinkled but still hoping not to be, took the cream and proceeded to apply it.  "Oye, este si esta bueno!"  "Hey, this one is good!" When asked if the cream made her face a little tighter, made it feel smoother, she said," Por eso me gusta! Me lo suavizo y estiro tanto que me he quitado 10 años!"  So she felt 10 years younger and Babushka was having flashbacks.  Scenes of bb and La Tata over 30 years ago, her showing the correct way to apply face cream- with the ring finger, gently around the eyes, then the face- paying attention to the area around the lips with extra cream there and under the neck.  I cherish those memories, just as I cherish the woman who's gushing about the marvelous face cream that's sure to bring back her youth.  Bueno, BB doesn't know about that, but I can tell you a couple of things-

1.  No matter the age, our appearance is important to us.
2. It's the little things that make the biggest memories.
3. Ageless Derma Face Cream works- it's potent and "esta bueno"

And the #4, main thing- the reason that made Babushka smile the most??

4.  BB's face can wait a little while longer before having to use it.

Babushka Besos a todos.  Cuidensen.

P.S.  BB found the marvelous Ageless Derma Face Cream via the BloggersRequired.com network and was sent the product for review.  This post was all my own opinion and the only other compensation received was seeing La Tata's face light up with happiness and smoothness.

New Year's- Resolution?

Last week on Facebook, the Tiki Tiki Blog asked what our New Year's Resolution was.  My answer?  To get older.  JU SO FONII !!!  Ok, si, but I sincerely hope this is one resolution I'll be able to keep!

Let me share with you a passage I got from Lord knows where, but I believe whole heartedly in it's message.  To the author I apologize omitting your unknown name, but I embrace and share the wisdom of your words.

As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it, if I choose to read, or play, on the computer, until 4 AM, or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 50, 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love, I will.

I will walk the beach, in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves, with abandon, if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.
They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And, I eventually remember the important things.

Sure, over the years, my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break, when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But, broken hearts are what give us strength, and understanding, and compassion. A heart never broken, is pristine, and sterile, and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it).

Think about it- a resolution I don't have to think about.  Woah- no stress, and that's DEFINITELY what I'm hoping 2012 will be. A stress free year, a stress free life; just doing what comes naturally- no expectations, just excitation.  Come on now, I'm Cuban- gotta have some blood pressure raising somehow!  So I will continue my Spanglish soliloquies, sashaying in heels, blabbing and bailando all the way.

2012-Start the music y dimelo cantando !!!
