HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!!!

At 1 am Sunday, my daughter Babushkas Bebe went to the hospital with contractions.  Turns out it was a false alarm, but before it becomes the real thing and I'm an abuela for the 5th time, BB thought this would be a good moment to write about the baby shower.  Actually, not so much about the shower as much as the gifts given by some very special folks.

The first to give to the shower was Ford.  

Without them there was no way all the preps, nor the party itself would have been possible.  

Fabi the Fabulosa- and she definitely was!!

Gracias to Fabi, BB was able to get the supplies to make the centerpiece diaper cake. And gracias to blogger friends Ana of +Miami Mommy Savings and Tiffany- +Broward Saves ; through their Tweety Fiesta I was introduced to @WinnDixieLatino who in turn was able to give me a  +winndixiestores gift card.  By the way, talk about a giftcard and place that has so much to offer!! 

So now mi hija and future grandbaby had Kuddles products and a toy, but what about the other necessaries??  Here another blogger bella, Erica aka @MamasMission  introduced BB to the wonderful folks of @AVENT_US .  They were darlings who made sure to send my daughter bottles, pacifiers, and a state of the art baby monitor. 

And for those of you who don't think a baby monitor is a necessity... please read up on La Princesa.

Now the last group of presents come from a company who BB has written about before.  Babushka has personally met and become amigos with the owners of this company and cherishes that friendship.  Upon receiving the gifts my heart was touched and eyes teared.  This is not a big company, yet they shared their cariño and gifted Babushkas Bebe their quality goods, wishing the family and new baby love y bendiciones.  LANUGO

The Fantastic Week w/Fabi La Firey Y Fabulosa #FordFiesta

The Folks at @FordLatino lent Fabi to BB for a week to facilitate this story.

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!

This little cuento was supposed to be on my Tumblr blog, PERO it turned out a lot bigger than first anticipated. Quee?? Ok si, JU SO FONII that seems to be the verdad on most of BB's adventures doesn't it?  Bueno, what was supposed to be un carrito to help Babushka with Babushkas Bebe's baby shower, in reality took BB back to when she was a baby.  Well, not really a baby, but when Bb got her first car at 16.  Bb (that's the adolescent BB) picked a stick shift, manual car for her first set of wheels; it was small, new, and oh the adventures in it! Si, BB got to re live her younger days, only now we're both smarter and looking better- just look at what Ford me presto.

The "we" spoken of is BB and this hot looking Ford Fiesta.  Of course being this hot, Babushka had to name her Fabi La Firey y Fabulosa.  Believe me when I say she definitely deserved the nombre.

The adventures began when the maravillosos de Prestige Auto dropped Fabi off at La Tata's.  

For some reason BB thought the world of stick shifts had stayed still- 

so needless to say, after 30+ years Babushka had a little demora starting things up...

When it was discovered how to turn it on, all was ready for Fabi to fly.

And boy did she fly! Truly took me back to my highschool years.  

Even the part about staying out late...

Friday- Day 2

Day 3

Actually, it went up to 100%, but Fabi was only Firey in color & espiritu- inside she was chillin.

In every sense of the palabra.

Day 4- Babushkas Bebe's Baby Shower

Was so busy,excited, exhausted, that I didn't take any fotos de Fabi. 

 Especially when I lost her keys...

always an adventure with BB.

Anyways, the day was for my daughter.

Day 5

Day 6 -Bloggin' Mamas Business

Had a business meeting to attend, and BB thought it perfecto that besides reminding me of younger years, Fabi actually took Babushka to one of my favorite places from those years.

To say it went well would be an understatement.  To say we look Bella- another understatement.

And now we fly fast y furious to business meeting #2.

That one also went well at MMMM Wynwood.

Day 7

Fabi knows Fabulous, so we went to cheer on mi primo @RickyUbeda11.

And si, he truly is my cousin. His bisabuela and La Tata were sisters.

Day 8

#IKEAMIAMI  5 AM

Wow and Woah.  What a week.

Now you know Babushka takes public transportation when in Miami, or gets rides from kind friends;

 there was no way BB could have done most, if not ALL that was accomplished.

HeartCamp 2013

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls! Babushka's year of firsts,favorites and fun continues.  I was a panelist at  HeartCamp, an "unconference".  Have you ever been energized, exhilarated and exhausted at the same time?  How about overwhelmed and overjoyed simultaneously?  Re-energized yet relaxed?  Ok si, BB's doing her extreming again, but if you had attended this years HeartCamp you would have felt the same.

Flowing with Ford-Part 2 -the continuation

In the last post BB signed off with, "Babushka was bushed and it was time for a quick siesta.Time to recharge the batteries for a noche of niceties, nice people, nom nom and the brilliance of nature."

Bueno my beautifuls, the body was bushed but the spirit was psyched.  Babushka went and filmed a video instead of a siesta.  Afterwards I took a quick shower and got ready to be chauffered to a beachside dinner party.  Oh si, sooo liking this flowing...

I have no idea what was  the name of the place they took us to,

 but the temperature was perfect, the views breathtaking, and the ambience sublime. 

 I have no problem calling it Paradise.

Of course it wouldn't be paradise for BB without food,

or friends

The multitalented, infinitely patient Mr.Tony McCloud.

Here I must interject a little side note.  Although he says no, BB was this poor man's problem child before,during and after the trip. Last minute arrangements, change of departures, broken luggage, missed planes, all this the dear man had to endure.  The other attendees were well traveled car publication journalists who took all the procedures in stride and were used to these things. On this I thank the lovely Linda Water Nelson who made a point of welcoming me into this group of comrades- very appreciated gesture by a gracious lady who is the Queen of Cars and definitely knows the world of auto reporting. 

Continuing. 

 It was now night and enough for the first day's activities.  It's also enough for this post.

 As promised, it was a noche of niceties,nice people,nom nom and nature's brilliance- time to rest,for tomorrow Babushka would drive again.

Flowing with Ford

You know the saying, "Go with the flow"?  Bueno, that's exactly what BB did when she won a trip to the Ford Fusion event in LA.  During Hispanicize, the Ford Latino folks had a blogger contest and the three finalists would win the chance to go to LA.  Ya tu sabes, the winning post had to be in Spanish and you know my expertise there, yet the flow said to go (actually it was an invisible inner push) and give it try.  Well, I did, and I was a finalist- and in shock, but ready to ride with the waves.

For the first time in over 15 years,Babushka flew on an airplane. An adventure in and of itself, believe me. On September 19th I landed in LA to return to Florida on the 20th. Si, it was fast and furious, pero fabulous!!  Ok, ok, the pun was intended- but it was so true.

But Ford knew a couple of things about details too.

Now- the food I could speak a little bit about it, estaba rico, but the cars???

Thankfully I had Mr. Lee, one of the engineers of the auto as my co pilot and guide.

What a nice ride the Fusion was!  

Participants got to try out three different models on the first day and the hybrid, this model here, is the one I preferred. 

 Quee??  Does that mean I'd say  no to any Fusion I may find in my Christmas stocking?

My querido Stan the Man  has earned his retirement Santa Ford y  cualquier modelo, any model is welcomed.
