This weekend Miami was jumping even more than usual & Babushka didn't miss a moment.

As part of the Carnaval Miami Blogger Ambassadors, my daughter Cristyls Corazon and BB were given tickets to this years Kiwanis of Little Havana Christmas Gala.  The grounds of the Miami Seaquarium were turned into a winter wonderland. Quee??  Ok si, JU SO FONII!!! Winter for Miami, a divine night in the 70's filled with music of the 80's. Lime, Grupo Niche, Hansel y Raul, much loved and favorited musica, along with holiday drinks by Bacardi (Babushka loved the spice one) as well as beer by Heineken who saved us ladies in heels with their outdoor lounging area.  Besides the tragos, there was arroz con pollo, tapas, y BBQ pork.  Honestamente, you couldn't have had a party without any of those elements and the Kiwanis did it up right.  For one ticket you get a fantastic night and help a fantastic organization. That's one twofer worth repeating. Already told Sweetie he and Babushka will be there for 2015.  

Sunday we start with Art Basel.

A glorious view & company BB wouldn't mind dancing with again.

Then Babushka skedaddled (actually walked almost 2 hours) to get the metromover to my next event over at the Shops of Sunset Place.  The Elves Workshop was being held there from 4-7 pm and BB couldn't miss spending that time with the Grands and their parents.  Babushka had already missed the Caring Santa at The Falls for La Princesa, so if walking was the way, so be it. Ahora, eso si.  Was definitely on Cubantime and arrived a little over an hour late, but Grandma Gozo!

And to those who believe Sunday should be a day of rest and spiritual renewal, let me assure you,

 a day with the Grands is rest from silly grownup thoughts and worries. 

And in Babushka's opinion there's no better way to renew one's spirit.

BB's half way through the #SMCSFBlog Challenge and needs to be reminded why I ever said si.

Vamos a ver, let's see.

1. The Social Media Club of South Florida is a nice group of people. They truly believe in the power of              social media and are generous with their knowledge. Besides, they're a bunch of locos who are fun and          welcomed esta vieja with open arms.

2.  Babushka likes challenges.  Remember, Sweetie is hubby#3.

3.  There are so many adventures and events that BB hasn't written about yet.  Como:

and that was just Septiembre!!!

Hmmm... 

maybe 30 days of straight blogging won't be enough!

Groaners 3- aka if you're muse refuses to wake up until 2 am and the #SMCSFBlog Challenge dictates a post before midnite, then you continue doing what you did during the last challenge. You post bad jokes (Groaners) that roll eyes and make mouths smirk.  Queee?? JU SO FONII!!!  Bueno, at least I hope that's what you'll say after you see these.

BB was cleaning house until 2:00 a.m.   Quee??  JU SO FONII!! Now y'all KNOW it wasn't literally right?  Ok si, kinda sorta.  This blog is my house, my home, and  I agreed it was time to do some Spring Cleaning here. On the top you'll see actual groupings, not the individual stories just floating around. Of course I had to repost them as posts in order to then get them together as categories, and losing the comments in the meanwhile... proof once again that cleaning- of ANY kind is not Babushka's thing.

They say that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Bueno, seems like Babushka is supposed to start dancing hard y pa' largo rato, cause I had two great marketing maestras offer to help get me ready for professional ballroom blogging. As everyone knows, BB does a beautiful impression of Bambi looking at headlights whenever something techie is expected of me, and in this era you really must learn the platforms; it's no longer just typing away.  Thankfully I learned many years ago that to truly comprehend something you need to go to the most basic level, and here my dear friend Helena Osorio-Zavala was the perfect first touch. As an accomplished blogger herself, she knew exactly what I was thinking and apprehensive about PLUS she has worked production with/for brands for years, and to know their mind set is always a good thing.  How many ideas and questions she had!  My head hadn't seen that much smoke since I gave up cigarros!!  GREAT session and starting point.  She showed me where to clean up and organize in order to pursue the projects I had in mind.

And Oh My Beautifuls- does Babushka have lots of projects in mind!!  A monthly Tweety Chat, collaborating with some Groovy Grandmas, and an exercise video.  Si, an exercise video.  With heels, café and water spritzer. You're gonna love it!  But first, to conquer the world of  Google & sponsorship I needed someone totally immersed in that world and the S Sisters y los angelitos brought her to me. 

I had met Cynthia K.Seymour at a SMCSF meeting; she was on a panel of Google experts and could hardly contain her enthusiasm for Google+. Fast forward 8 months to BB trying to update her Blogger by adding the Google+ comments and my own domain name.  Was that a collective ooohhhhh I heard? Si, I have a domain that I can't sign into and comments I can't reply to. AUXILIO!! SOS!! Guess she could sense the desperation over the net and graciously offered to help me with my Google problems. Of course my first problem was being scared to death of Google. It was too much like wordpress- too many options/choices/bells&whistles.  BB's a give it to me straight and simple kinda gal. I was all ready to start the eye glazing, but she is so sincere in her love of Google + Power that you can't help but jump right into the water with her.  Of course she knew Babushka's fear and took me into the kiddie pool first.  What was supposed to be a one hour help turned into a 2.5 hour BBfest, with dream sponsors,plans, strategies and how to use Google+ to achieve my wishes.  Google+, the great genie of my lamp- now all Babushka had to do was rub. Hard.

And this is why I was cleaning until 2:00 a.m.

Don't know if it was the S Sisters, the momentum from the SMCSF event I went to or just plain old martyrdom, but Babushka signed up. Queeee??? JU SO FONII!!! You may be right, being an old Cuban Grandma it probably was the latter, but whatever the reason, I committed.  So My Beautifuls, I hope you stick around and cheer me on in this. Thirty posts in thirty days. Oh my. And here I thought I was being ambitious by upping my blog to two posts a week!
