Today is the last dia of BB's Cumples month, pero not the last day of parties. If you recall in Babushka's 58 is great post, there were going to be 4 fiestas, pero cosas de la vida, we had so much fun con the 31gifts that we did extra dias and ran over. Sooooo, the MaryKay will be on November 1 and the Lilla Rose sometime in October. Ahora is a Twofer, joining the celebracion will be Grands #5, Dr.J. Turning six and lover of libros, we know this will be a fun one!
Porque not everyone likes the same subjects, need to learn the same thing, or are different ages, a Usborne Fiesta is specialized and definitivamente not pushy. Pero eso si, if ya wanna win books or prizes ya gotta participate and join in!

BB just saw that it's been since Agosto without un Baile por aqui. Does that mean Babushka hasn't been doing anything? JU SO FONII!! Primeramente, BB turned 58 on September 1 and trying to catch up/do things she had planned and hasn't done since the last Cumples. There are places she hasn't seen, posts she hasn't written, and courses signed up for and never completed. Honestamente that last one is even mas with the Covid. Anyone else think they'll be able to do all those things we got online during the pandemic? Anyway, since 2020 hasn't been spectacular for most, Septiembre 1 is the nuevo Janauary 1 so BB's calling DO OVER and she started just as she did on Enero 1.
Same place but with an upgrade. Did you see how cozy, pero still Queenly? King Size bed, a little juego de sala and a whirlpool jacuzzi tub. ESO!!! Y eso is what BB expects this 58th year is gonna bring. More of the same, pero con upgrades, in all aspectos and niveles . Vayan al IGrammy de BB to see the cool cosas y campaigns she's part of!

Through a wonderful invite la Bella Michelle Zambrana posted on her healthyfatchick Instagram, Babushka's Miami Munchkins were able to get free entradas to see the Peter Rabbit movie. Gracias Sony & Michelle!

Peter Rabbit. Do you remember the story from your childhood? Bueno, now it'll be part of your children's childhood too. Based on the timeless classic, they've continued the story, reved it up un poquito and made it into a marvelous movie. How does BB know that? The Grands in Miami were lucky enough to go to a screening, and the first thing Rinquincaya said when they called-"Grandma, it was A-MA-ZING!!" He was talking about the pelicula, but it seems like the whole event was fun.
Felices right? Now, part of the event was to come in blue jackets and donate books. DIL is a VPK maestra and Usborne books consultant, so the latter was no problem. Ahora the blue jackets... as you can see, Rinquincaya borrowed his dad's, but it was for a good cause so he didn't mind. The cause?

They ALL enjoyed the pelicula. Hasta 2 year old Laughing Buddha was entertained.

Si, it was a winning dia, in every sense of the palabra. The Grands were introduced to literary classics, gave to children who didn't have libros, saw a very enjoyable pelicula, and won a gift card to see more movies later on!

Ya viene the new school year. Increible isn't it? Also incredible is how quickly our children are growing and how much they can learn!! Pa' eso we all know the advantage having good books can be. The sense of wonder and accomplishment found from a well chosen libro is like no other, and you have the power to give that to your child.
For all edades, all subjects.

Babushka has always loved reading and the world of books; that's probably where my love of storytelling began. Quee?? JU SO FONII!!! Ok, si, being Cubana, tambien it's in my sangre, pero the look Belle of Beauty and the Beast has when she goes into his library? Es el mismo look Babushka has when she enters a library. The life changing mundos & maravillas one encounters in that magical place!
Having loved reading since childhood you KNOW BB started The Trio early with the Love of Libros and naturalmente even more so with The Grands . When DIL told me PicaPica and Rinquincaya wanted books as presents, Babushka knew the tradition lived on. Felizmente the tradition of good cuentos, stories worth sharing and cherishing lives on too. Gracias to DIL for introducing us to the world of Usborne Books. Quality y que Quantity!! So much so she had to become a consultant!
These were the first books Babushka bought for Grands 5 & 6. Very impressed with the colores y quality, creo there will be more of this type to be added to our library. BB's sure she'll be learning some new words too! Pero the selection isn't just here, or just for this age group. Usborne tiene from babies to teens, in all types of categories and always ready to entertain. Speaking of entertaining, how about these last days of summer when all has been done and it's just too hot to go outside?
Y que me dicen of those long road trips with the never ending "Are we there yet?"
